A salmon swims upstream. Once it reaches its destination it dies. They also risk death on their perilous journey. Sometimes it’s better and less dangerous to go with the flow.
It’s better to ride the wave. The wave at the moment is crypto. You can’t open up a browser or social media platform without seeing some mention of crypto. I have long been interested in this space but was always on the fringe. I bought bitcoin back in early 2017. I held it until around December of that year and then cashed out because I thought “wow what a return, best take my money and run.” Whilst that proved to be a good decision through a lot of 2018 it would now seem foolish. That being said I don’t worry about it as no one could have predicted the current state of the market. Although a crypto winter is upon us it is much higher than 2018.
I have been writing content about marketing and publishing as that has been where I have spent 10 years building a business. After all those years I wanted to share some of what I had learnt. Seems many other people had beat me to it. Quel surprise. Thats not to say I will never write about that type of content. Marketing is the lifeblood of entrepreneurship. If you can’t promote what you are working on then no one will ever come to hear of it.
The most recent post I wrote about the Klima DAO project was shared and secured more signups than the other posts combined.
I have set exciting goals for Publishing Push for 2022 and along with my team, I am confident we can deliver on these.
The change here is that I have a crypto project in mind AND I have decided to document the process of hiring someone to assist, where the idea for the project came from and how the process goes. Perhaps it flops or maybe it goes to the moon.
The one thing I can promise is that it will lead to a deeper understanding of crypto projects, unravel the jargon and hopefully allow more people to understand these technologies.
I will be learning as I go which means in order to explain what I have learnt I will have to truly understand these technologies.
Crypto for Laymans
Whilst exploring the crypto space I discovered a myriad of videos and content explaining the latest and greatest projects. What they all miss is explaining these concepts to someone who doesn’t already understand crypto and how to use the wallets, blockchains, token swaps and the list of other very specific technologies.
It was truly a baptism of fire. Don’t even get me started or trying to make sense of a Discord forum.
Despite the challenges, I managed to buy crypto easily this year. I have invested my crypto for good returns. Got to grips with stable coins and even staked a project.
The first is up and there will be many more to come.
